On December 22,2025, our Dutch charitable organisation NTHK visited the women’s and children’s prison in Erbil, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Social Affairs in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq.
The aim of this visit was to support and assist the children who live with their mothers inside the prison.
Our organisation held a party on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year.
The event included 30 children inside the prison, where a joyful atmosphere was created through music and celebration.
A special meal was also provided for the children, in addition to the distribution of 30 assorted gifts to bring joy and happiness to their hearts.
The goal of our organisation is to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of these children and give them moments full of cheer and delight, so that they can feel like children living a normal life outside the prison walls.
